Give Me Your Words is a series of art work created for Women Survivors of Cancer. The words embedded in these pieces come directly from their personal stories of their cancer experience. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the non-profit " A 2nd Act", to help support funding for micro grants to assist these women in rebuilding their lives.
"A 2nd Act" is a non-profit founded by my dear friend Judy Marten in Phoenix, Arizona. A cancer survivor and writer, Judy found giving back to that particular community of women her way of healing through helping. Judy has been working tirelessly over the last seven years to shephard the members of the non-profit through their transition from patient to survivor. She inspires and guides them through the use of workshops, a spoken word event and her ever expanding book that shares their stories. These paintings are my 2nd Act and I am proud to be involved with this community of strong and vibrant women.
